Every Wednesday we spot light a college and today’s spotlight was made by Braelynn from the middle school. Gwen, a student at the intermediate, was thrilled to see her sisters work being spotlighted! #CKH #PirateNAtion #GrowingGreatness

In Miss Moheng’s Music Class, students are being introduced to what notes look like and then discussing sound differences between when there are just a few notes on the screen verses when there are many. When there are a few, those notes are played slower because they take up more time. When there are a lot of notes on the screen we have to play them faster. #CKH #PirateNation #GrowingGreatness

We woud like to congratulate our Support Staff of the Month, Mrs. Lewis! Her are a few words from Mrs. Lewis: I have been with the district going on 4 years now, and I am so thankful for all of the opportunities that have been given to me while here at Shepherd ISD. I have been able to further my education through the "Grow Your Own" program and recently graduated with my bachelors degree, which has allowed me to start my first year of teaching in inclusion support this year. I am so thankful for all of the mentorship I've had over the years. The encouragement and the guidance from my colleagues and now friends has been overwhelming. I can honestly say that I love my job. Being able to engage children in learning and being a part in helping them overcome obstacles they thought were impossible is so rewarding. The challenges are many but the blessings are so much more and I truly love coming to work everyday! Everyday is a great day to be a Pirate. #CKH #PirateNation #GrowingGreatness
