The Shepherd ISD community should be aware that Highway 150 will be closed at the railroad crossing near downtown Shepherd on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
This closure may cause minor delays near the end of morning drop-off and will likely impact afternoon dismissal. Our Transportation Department has already planned ahead and will use the 3rd Street crossing to ensure buses reach campuses on the west side of town. While we hope delays will be minimal, we will monitor the situation closely and provide updates if needed.
Drivers are encouraged to follow all posted traffic signs and plan for slight delays when traveling through the area during these hours.
