Classrooms start their intervention periods with an engaging read-aloud session, including those in math. This approach fosters a love for reading and supports comprehension skills. Interactive reading is incorporated across subjects to enrich the learning experience for all students.

Friendly reminder, Shepherd Intermediate Pirate Parade is tomorrow! We are excited to invite you to the Shepherd Pirate Parade at Shepherd Intermediate School on November 21, 2024, at 8:00 a.m.! Mrs. Swiech’s Child Development class has been working on a project-based learning activity in collaboration with the 5th-grade students. The project began with reading Balloons Over Broadway to the 5th graders, inspiring them to design their own balloon for the parade. After the 5th graders created their drawings, Mrs. Swiech’s class took on the challenge of gathering materials and bringing these imaginative designs to life. This project has given our students the opportunity to tackle real-world challenges, using their critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork skills. We would love for you to join us to see the amazing results and support our students' hard work! We hope to see you there!
